Lets talk about Mr Ponzi

Ive posted briefly on this subject before but let me elaborate.

We are all getting down on Mr Madoff for his apparent fraud of 50 billion. But as I said before our entire economy is based on Mr Ponzis system whether we like it or not.

Lets take stocks. Last ones in got burned. they do every time. Real estate. Same thing.

How bout government. Lets take social security, the biggest ponzi scheme ever devised on the face of the earth.

So before we get all upset with Mr Madoff lets look real close at the whole picture and understand that really everything financially connected that someone is to profit from is really a ponzi scheme and we are seeing a lot of the pain of this these days. But the legal ones are called unwinding or de leveraging. But really it means the last ones in loose everything just like a ponzi scheme.

I must admit to anyone reading this I am far from a dooms day type person. But there have been some things happen over the last year or so that really make the hair stand up on the back of my neck sometimes.

I have been expounding on the economic front for six months now and things seem to be getting worse every couple of weeks with a rest in between.

The most striking thing that I see going on is the hopelessness and flat out throwing of money at problems from out of nowhere that the men in power seem to be behind. This coupled with the global magnitude of these problems that seems to be lurking overhead at any moment make some biblical prophesies much easier to believe than I ever thought could happen in my lifetime.

In Revelation it talks about someone coming into power that will apparently be able to solve these problems in a miraculous form or fashion. Taking power of the entire earth
and the people are glad to have him if for no other reason than peace.

Granted if true, it might not happen tomorrow or in my lifetime. But one thing the past year has taught me is that it can happen and we are much closer to that time than just a year ago.

And just who is this Barak Obama?

We, yes we , now own AIG... Oh my goodness we need help. The underpinnings of our capitalistic society are coming unglued. I started blogging about these issues just a few short months ago. I could never had believed that things were this bad.
The unfortunate thing is we really still don"t know how bad it is.

Your hearing the government has bailed freddie and fannie out. The government may pay as much as 200 bil dollars over the next 5 years. The government will run it for a period of time. Well think again. Its the government trying to cover up its own and stupid peoples mistakes at the harm of our children and grandchildren.
So markets will ride high for a while until the bill has to be paid. And it will not be paid by the government, but by the people. A real low point here in our history folks......no matter what the government says.

Well here we go again. Freddie and Fanny rescued by not the government like the headlines read. WRONG!!! Remember the government has no money(see previous article). So you and me and everyone else is going to bail out this boat one more time. I didnt sign up for this or give it my approval, did you?
When are we going to learn that the government needs to step out of the way and let things happen. The real tragedy is that instead of us... the stupid people that got us in this mess taking the hit we will just hand it off to our grandchildren. What a bunch of weak cowards we are... My head is hanging low this morning.

Everything still contracting

The economy is still contracting with a recession looming. If we are to go into a recession the capitulation could be catastrophic. Stocks, bonds, real estate could contract to 20 year lows.
Impossible you say. Well hang on.......
If no recession happens this time around we may be looking at a very very slow or no growth period for years. Which is worse? Depends on how your positioned.

The Last of the Big Cons

Ok This is it folks, the last of the big cons until it's all dumped in the lap of our next President.

By now you should be hearing or seeing some signs of relief in the stock market, the price of gold and oil should drop back, and the dollar should begin to show signs of strength.

But remember what I said earlier, it is all an illusion..... to make everyone feel happy days are on their way back.

This illusion is not at all based on real facts. We are not finding more natural resources, building more things from scratch, producing more food or food stuffs.

Remember the illusion is the government bailing out the financial markets on BORROWED MONEY. The government putting BORROWED MONEY into the hands of the American public to spend. The government putting BORROWED MONEY into the defense infrastructure and the list goes on and on. All the while the gullible American public will think the government has helped them out of a bad situation. THE CON BELLS AND WHISTLES ARE GOING OFF FOLKS.....

And remember the government never ever pays back borrowed money................YOU and I do.
Sorry to make this sound so simplistic but I'm afraid the general public is getting hoodwinked and really does not understand.

Our whole economy is like a big inverted ponzi scheme. The whole thing is built on printed money or credit if you will. Money that really doesn't exist when it's spent hoping it will exist some day in the future. (make sense?)
Starting at the top with the biggest culprits and then down to Joe Smo that got a mortgage or credit card in the last year or so.
The guys sitting on top are counting on the guys on the bottom to keep bringing more to the party to keep them afloat. But eventually like all pyramids the amount starts to dwindle. Works good for a while but not forever.
What your seeing now is the tip (where the arrows are} crumbling away a little.
Not to worry though because the Government has enough "extra dollars" tucked away to
fill in the little holes up until now. By basically printing more money.
As they do this in hopes that soon more people will jump into the scheme thinking things are ok it will take the pressure off for a little while longer. Therefore holding up the structure for a while longer.
Just like in a pyramid if the first guy has deep pockets he can keep it rolling for quite some time without unsuspecting Joe getting worried. Scary? You bet.
But Mr Bernenke is stuck. Years of this behavior inherited he has one of two choices. First print more to keep it afloat. Or let it all crumble in on itself.
Can you blame him? Didn't think so. America wake up.

Surviving the times

What I intend to do with this is write about what effects people in their daily lives all across the globe. Interesting tidbits of information that will help people get better results from their business and personal lives.
The inter net has provided the world with the opportunity to form a closer nit community if we will use it that way.
In just a few hours the Federal Reserve chairman of the United States will address congress about the condition of the American economy. The general theme will be business as usual. This seems to have become a cat and mouse game as to who can hide, cover, stall off, sugar coat our inevitable economic catastrophes.
I liken it to if on the Titanic the captain told the people on board that we had only sunk 2 feet there is still 500 feet to go, don't worry. We will bail a little water out and sink slowly. Enjoy yourself a little longer. And the band played on.....
FACE YOUR PROBLEMS MAN!!!!! That's what my mother taught me. Why can't our government do it like a MAN.
So how do we survive? Study...think...search for the truth. Get yourself multiple steams of income coming in and hold on....More on this in a future post.
